As part of the Race to the Top initiative, Massachusetts educators worked with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to develop Model Curriculum Units (MCUs) for use by K-12 teachers across the Commonwealth. This webinar will focus on mathematics MCUs illustrating the key features of MCUs and the shifts in the 2011 Curriculum Framework for Mathematics. Featured presenter Anne Marie Condike, Content Lead for the MCU project, will also discuss the impact of the shifts on curriculum and instruction.
