How will Next-Gen MCAS impact your students this year and into future years? 
Breakout Sessions
Breakout sessions will explore particular issues related to different grade spans around Next-Generation MCAS.
Breakout Session 1: Grades 3-5 Presenter: Mary Lou Beasley ---------------------------------- Breakout Session 2: Grades 6-8 Presenter: Haley Freeman ---------------------------------- Breakout Session 3: Grade 10 Presenter: Jim Verdolino This presentation will include information regarding the upcoming field test, changes to the 2019 grade 10 test design. It will also include a demonstration of varying technology enhanced interactions that will appear on the 2018 field test and the 2019 test.
About the Presenters

Simone Johnson has worked for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for the past fourteen years. She is currently the Administrator for Math Test Development in the Student Assessment Services office. Before becoming the administrator, Simone led the development of the middle school MCAS mathematics tests for six plus years. She has been diligently working alongside a great team of test developers to manage and produce the Next Generation MCAS Math tests. Prior to working in the Student Assessment Services office, Simone worked with the Curriculum and Instruction office, where she worked on the 2011 revision of the Math framework as well as the development of the Massachusetts Model Curriculum Units. She is a graduate and former pre-Algebra Instructor at Suffolk University.
