Mathematics Without Limits

A message from ATMIM President

Bob Knittle

Happy Spring ATMIM Members –

First of all, thank you. You have the ability to join many unique organizations. Many are NCTM, NCSM, WMMP members, and yet – you find value in this, your ATMIM Membership. Thank you!

I must also say thank you for the amazing turnout we saw at Holy Cross on March 20 th . Our team worked hard to produce a conference that is engaging, relevant, and provides ideas you can apply in your classroom. From your survey results – it seems, we delivered. We hosted nearly 250 people, with a keynote that was amazing. Heather Russo (from Marlborough) was named the winner of our Fr. Bezuszka award, and Kyle Pahigian (from Worcester) was named the winner of our Peg Kenney award.

While designing ideas for our members, we look for ways to get together, virtually and in person, and provide opportunities to grow. If you have further ideas, which you think could be developed as an ATMIM activity – please don’t hesitate to let one of our Board members know.

Just remember, that in October, we are the host committee for our New England regional math conference. All six state affiliates will provide energy and excitement, along with 25 or more vendors. We are hoping for around 600 attendees – so make sure you keep up with our Key Note and Featured Speakers.

Once again, I say thank you for making a difference in the lives of our students in school. You are certainly appreciated and we look forward to hearing more from you. Hope to see you soon – and we hope you enjoy the last quarter of your year. Make a difference in your students – you still have time!

Wishing you peace!

Bob Knittle
